Description: The principles of Remote Sensing courses introduce the essential concepts and techniques of remote sensing. They consist of two main parts; a theoretical part that focuses on the concepts, and a practical part that aims at developing hands-on skills in using some software packages tools; e.g. ERDAS Imagine.
The information extraction course will describe the procedure of image processing to extract the required information. The course will include image enhancement processes, and the different techniques of satellite image classification. In addition, this course will elaborate on coping with semantics in spatial data acquisition, and emphasises on image processing techniques for different applications on water resources management.
