Date: 4-15 September, 2022 (10 days-Offline + 2 Online sessions)
Course Description:
Sustainability of life, economic development, and hazard mitigation require clear understanding of the local hydrological systems. This course introduces fundamental concepts, analytic practices, and modeling of watershed hydrology using Hydrologic Engineering Center HEC-HMS software.
The main objective of the course is to update and provide new tools for surface hydrological modeling. Specific objectives are as follows:
- Develop strong knowledge of physical hydrology
- Overview on hydrological modeling tools
- Practice selected problems using HEC-HMS
Course Participates: Participants should be experienced professionals within 2 years working experience in the field of hydrology, and pass the course of Level-1
Course Learning Outcomes:
- A review of HEC-HMS rainfall-runoff model
- Watershed Delineation using HEC-HMS GIS tools
- Meteorological Models
- Loss Rate and Transform Methods
- Channel Routing Techniques
