Course Description: The principles and background of hydrological and hydro-meteorological data collection and processing are explained in a series of class lectures. Topics include data collection networks and network design; open source databases. rainfall forecast and statistical analysis. Using the Hec-HMS Software (3 levels) , the participants will be trained watershed delineation and hydrologic model development. The training will introduce the basic concepts of flash flood water harvesting and management and the latest tools and techniques available in flood protections. Practical exercises include
Course Participates: The training course is intended for surface water hydrologist, water managers, and interested professional staff working in the water resources planning, development, management, flood mitigation, rainwater harvesting and hydrologic processes.
