Venue: WSES Hall at the National Water Research Center Campus, Al-Kanater Al-Khayreya
Course Description:
This course aims to identify the various hydrodynamic forces that affect the coastal area and the behavior of the coastal zone under the effect of these forces. This leads to identify the real causes of the problems and the most appropriate solutions. The program also aims to identify the different types of coastal protection works either the traditional or the environmentally friendly works. This is in addition to the identification of the concept of working with nature and how to apply for coastal protection .
Course Participates: Participants should be experienced professionals within 2 years working experience in coastal engineering field or related field.
Course Learning Outcomes:
- Coastal morphology + hydrodynamic forces in coastal zone + sediment transport
- Data for coastal structures design + Coastal protection works; types, application, and side effects.
- Identify the appropriate protection works + Numerical models + EIA studies.
- Work with nature concept + Analysis some of the exist coastal projects
- Scientific trip
