Dr. Mohamed Embaby the director of the Central GIS unit at the National Water Research Center has gained sufficient experience in water resources engineering, GIS and remote sensing applications in water resources management and decision support system Through 17 years of practical and research experience. In addition to working part-time as a lecturer in geographic information systems, remote sensing applications, geomatics and surveying at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Heliopolis University (HU) and the British University in Egypt (BUE). During this period, he participated in many international projects and research studies inside and outside Egypt using satellite images, creating geographic databases (Geo Database) and a base map for the network of canals, drains, industrial facilities and pump stations containing all the data needed to manage water resources in Egypt. In addition, he worked as a GIS and remote sensing expert for a number of externally funded research projects and local programs in the field of water quality monitoring, modeling and evaluation, GIS, remote sensing and e-learning. He has also a wide experience in developing specialized training programs in the field of Geomatics, Hydroinformatics and land surveying.
